ClayLOK® provides a cost-effective product for developing road infrastructure at a fraction of the cost of conventional methods. It is a chemical soil stabilizer used in all forms of clay soil stabilization, from road bases to surface treatments, grain storage floors and runways. Currently, clay is stabilized using lime or cement, but this process is expensive, and the material preparation and application is difficult and results in a product that is not very environmentally friendly. ClayLOK® is a certified zero harm product, posing no threat to construction personnel or to the surrounding environment. It works in projects where there is clay content in the building materials.

ClayLOK® can be used in gravel road construction, rehabilitation, or maintenance and is a one-time application. In the future, if you need to add drainage or additional work, rip the road and bring it back up to the Optimum Moisture Content, OMC, then roll and shape it as desired – the results will be the same strength and durability as the initial application without any additional ClayLOK® .

The ClayLOK® application process is a three-stage solution that consists of: Soil analysis, chemical science, and a unique soil mixing methodology. The application process requires the availability of suitable soils, a supply of clean water, and a competent contractor with suitable equipment and experienced operators. The installation must be supervised by a qualified ClayLOK® technical advisor.

ClayLOK® Cost Analysis

The ClayLOK® process keeps costs as low as possible by soil testing and then adding fill material, if needed to upgrade the existing in-situ material. Upgrading the in-situ material in place, significantly reduces the amount of excavation, material handling, material transporting, and compaction required to create a proper load bearing surface. By employing the ClayLOK® process, savings in construction costs of up to 60% of traditional construction costs can be saved.
